Life in the Empire

(how is this for a new thread?)

It is not the freshest news. But it is still breaking, people are still absorbing it ,and it all till needs context.

The filthy greedheads and the doomed can't have exclusive rights to this news territory. The insane and the loyal opposition must have their say as well.

My take - the Russian armada is going to bomb the living fuck out of Aleppo.  Not so much to help Assad as to show they can still break shit, and still matter in one of their few areas of influence outside of Russia.

Sebostabol/Crimea alreadytaken and those pieces are swatted off the chess board.
Then they will pass through the Suez canal to a favorite area of contemporary interest - the south china sea, to dock at the "chinese" island.
They will refit at Vizag (a top indian navy base), go hover around the "chinese" island in the spratleys, maybe some commando/fast boat/SEAL type training with the chinese there. then they go right by the senkaku islands on the way to vladivostick for winter.
just to show the world the BRICS aint nobody to fuck with.
Turkish PM Erdogan just "cleaned house," by firing about 40,000 people in government and shooting a
few hundred security, military and intelligence staff accused of being Gulen supporters.  some probably were, some probably were not, and Gulen's infleunce is not as profound as the govt makes it out to be. but he just bought himself 5 more years of unchallengable rule. and the ability to flip turkey out of NATO into the BRICS. I think it is very possible and could happen suddenly if it does.
Then much of eastern europe NATO (esp former ussr/Warsaw Pact) all quit too - because it is a stupid antiquated instiution that has not had a rational strategic reason of existence since the fall of the Berlin wall.  nato is not world's army the blue hats in the UN are.
Timing - Putin put them at sea when he knew he would have a four month window of no real response from usa because of the  elections.
They will have proved they are back as a true blue sea navy, anf kicked some ass, and shored up crucial geostrategic along the way.
I feel no portence of WWIII but instead feel this is a macho country saying "we be back motherfucka!"
and the advanced cyber and ground/space/ship-to-shore warfare eqpt of china, russia (less so india) is getting really good, and hits all the achilles heels of nato/USSA, efficiently, cheaply, and on the button.

now i find myself on the "extreme left wing," just like ol Col. Chamberlain.  We're it.  we are used to "losing." like the abolitionists and suffragettes.  like the union army at Gburg.  Fuck losing and fuck realpolitik.  We ALL gonna lose if we don't permaculture wid a motherfukkin quickness.  If it takes a dictator to do it- fuck it.

Rich texans planning to live like Teletubbies while the peeps get whipped-up into a frenzy by George Soros.

I dunno, maybe the kids will learn how to farm again. My 19 YO kid tells me that all his friends are into buying Chairman Mao posters. I kid you not.

I have no idea where we go from here. Gonna sit back, put my feet up and watch for a while. Got to wait for the hysteria to die down.

i've got a satiafactory response

hey rulers of the world
This is what we did last night. And we all have contact info to the organizers who are people I know in real life. We're not alone.
Gave not have

False equivalency .

This is what I've been doing. ok?

I didn't paint the sign, ok?  Somebody else did.  Instead invested my life savings in a vehicle that gets 1300 empg.  'Scuse me for being fucking born, by the way.  It's just one thing an old man retired in poverty can do to show that this left-right divide is bloody pish.

Because the political divide doesn't go left to right.  It goes top to bottom.  And even the Rich Fatties are just as divided as the rest of us are.  Should we bet on the individual or the collective.  Silly pumpkins.  Without the individual, there is no collective... and vice-versa.

Now shut-the-fuck-up and buy a quad from me.

LOL  Doubt you'll be confused with a Trump voter, so you should be OK.

Oh.. i think i already have been.  It's my fault, you know.   For "voting" for Stein.

I remember the on-line beatings I took when Bernie was still a candidate and I vocalized support for him.  And that vitriol played a huge part in my decision not to vote for Clinton -- especially after learning that it was part of her campaign strategy to hire paid trolls to disparage Bernie. Of course, the Wikileaks revelations played a huge part too.

I too was subjected to significant bashings from the HRC crowd - even while I assured them that, since I live in Florida I would vote strategically against Trump - today there is an Op/Ed in the Guardian titled something like "Hillary didn't let us down, we let her down" so there is clearly a fair amount of denial continuing.

As I wrote below - if HRC had won I would be feeling the same urgency to organize the resistance....perhaps without the same level of panic that I feel with Trump.

Canadians don't want American Illegal Aliens (Refugees)

In March, hordes of 'triggered' and 'fearful' liberals began to investigate just what it would take to leave the country if - horror of horrors - Donald Trump should win the US presidential election. As the following chart shows, that 'blip' of search hysteria appears to have been nothing compared to the overwhelming exodus that just occurred...

Canadian border residents say it’s not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, liberal arts majors, global-warming activists, and “green” energy proponents crossing their fields at night.

“I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn,” said southern Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota. “He was cold, exhausted and hungry, and begged me for a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn’t have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?”

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush Limbaugh across the fields, but they just stuck their fingers in their ears and kept coming. Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals just south of the border, pack them into electric cars, and drive them across the border, where they are simply left to fend for themselves after the battery dies.

“A lot of these people are not prepared for our rugged conditions,” an Alberta border patrolman said. “I found one carload without a single bottle of Perrier water, or any gemelli with shrimp and arugula. All they had was a nice little Napa Valley cabernet and some kale chips. When liberals are caught, they’re sent back across the border, often wailing that they fear persecution from Trump high-hairers.

Rumors are circulating about plans being made to build re-education camps where liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer, study the Constitution, and find jobs that actually contribute to the economy.

In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans in blue-hair wig disguises, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney to prove that they were alive in the ’50s.

“If they can’t identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious about their age,” an official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage, are buying up all the Barbara Streisand CD’s, and are overloading the internet while downloading jazzercise apps to their cell phones.

“I really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can’t support them,” an Ottawa resident said.“After all, how many art-history majors does one country need?"
