Snowballs

Mustn't say this and mustn't say that,

thinking of doing a disappearing act

like the girl who fell through the floor.

There is no-one here on the road.

In the houses the lonely dogs bark.

For a moment outside there were silent men

shovelling snow.

I went out my gate and smiled,

there was barely a note of recognition

in my neighbours of ten years, more, twenty some of them,

twenty years side by side and not one hello or anything but a blank… Continue

Joe Klein's Fatuous Fantasy

Michael Collins

Time Magazine's Joe Klein is having an allergic reaction to free speech and public debate. The title of his latest column says it all: The Left's Idiocy on Health Reform. It's an ex cathedra pronouncement from a made man at one of the nation's oldest media… Continue

The Stars are Out.

12/25/09

They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. –Judges 5:20

Ton-dog snapped them off and trotted through the portal with a Porpoise. The Holly Spirit sounded in a sea of change and leaped in the lightless firmament. “Spirit two too-oh,” growled Ton-dog, sitting at the foot of Waldo’s bed. Mammals seemed a good idea.

“Look, honey,” purported Waldo, shaking a sleeping Ms.… Continue

Ass kissing liberal apologists' for failed health reform

Michael Collins

The myth that the Democratic plans for health reform will produce anything by the target date of 2014 is only exceeded in absurdity by the myth that the world will end on December 21, 2012.

Have they all given way

Perhaps I am drifting here or perhaps hitting the nail on the head -

it does so cause an obtuse twisting in my gut when I see Mandelson having such a good time.

And I think "you slimy little toad" and know he doesn't care at all. So many psychopaths, so many weasels weaseling away. When I think of the pride I felt for the people I grew out of and see what has been done. The meaning stripped away even from the dawn fresh dawn with depleted uranium poison increasing day by… Continue

From a friend who knows (must read)

Friends,

My own personal opinion is that since before WWI, during 1913 when the "FED" was established by the Bankers (Mellon, Rothschild, Warburg, etc) which effectively placed the US Monetary system under the Bank of England, that this country, the USA, has departed on what ever was left of Democracy and plunged down the slippery slope of Fascism and Empire building. All Empires have been known to fail, dramatically.

The US entered WWI "reluctantly" as a direct result of… Continue

The ten points of the Nuremberg Code

The ten points are, (all from United States National Institutes of Health)

This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension… Continue

Fixing Education...

...as the Market marches toward the Future.

Is the “education system” in the USA “broken,” and if so, how does one “fix” it? By the standards usually applied in the USA to "efficiency, predictability. calculability and control," yes, it’s broken. The cost-per-student is going up; the “test scores” are going down. What to do? Simple: apply the tried-and-proven contemporary American method that is now applied to all… Continue
