Political Cartoons of the Potent Variety

Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds is collecting political cartoons:

"What do you think of political cartoons and their role today? Who is/are your favorite cartoonist(s)? Why? Also, if you can, share (provide the link) with all of us your favorite cartoon (only one cartoon, please!) related to the topics we’ve been discussing (MSM, Need for ‘Real Change,’ Campaign lies and ‘pre-selected’ candidates…)."

So I'm posting these (I know she said ONE) by one of my fave artists, Michael Dibari:

Not my fave, but it relates to her topic. Maybe this one is even better:

This could go on... let's talk about the billionaire bailout (while homeowners aren't helped - thank you senate millionaires):

That last one may not be quite on point, but it's certainly on the minds of millions and millions of U.S. citizens.

I don't know who drew this or where it came from. It was in my email with some other stuff & I can't even remember who sent it. Maybe it could come under the need for real change category.

interesting... altho I do think the back-to-basics, grow-your-own food lifestyle is not anywhere near as bad as living in big cities.

BO loves all things Tom Tomorrow.

Tom Tomorrow is primo! That first one... especially. yuks on whiplash... suckahs drank the O-koolaid.

The ones who didn't drink the O-koolaid and tried to warn others, were often censored and/or banned from gatekeeper/propaganda sites. Suckahs didn't drink it--it was forced down their throats.

Having this one up on my wall back in 1999 definitely DID NOT HELP my "career" in the "financial services" industry:

Saw that one coming. Now it's "who could have known that there were no WMDs in Iraq? Why, all the best intelligence yedda yadda bla bla..." Gee... so much to look forward to... I wonder if I'll be around to hear: "...golly, who would have ever expected our own government to be complicit in the 911... bla bla bla."

wow, back in 1999! makes me feel really stupid... lol. btw, the comment about food safety regulations opens a scary door. the big bad federal government will impose a whole new scheme of FSRs under the guise of "food safety." It's really about hyper-regulating small farms out of business and enforcing global trade agreements that prioritize corporate expansion over domestic food safety laws.

Your average Amerikun reads less than 100 words at each sitting. Sittings are rarely held bi-weekly. Cartoons, or "Toons" fill that gap and feed that folk along with the rare ones who can and do read more than their daily dose. I like Toons. When I open a newspaper, which is a very rare occasion, I first look for Toons, check them out and then read the paper. Having said that, Toons are a very powerful propaganda tool. Too bad the majority of Toons you can find are coming from the wrong aisle.

Who is/are your favorite cartoonist(s)?
Robert Crumb

Why?
What a silly question. ROBERT CRUMB !! Helllllloooooooooo. Yee who knows Crumbstuff need not inquire why. The man is a Toon Icon. A Toon God. But serious, Crumb is not my favorite but he rules, plain and simple.

Also, if you can, share (provide the link) with all of us your favorite cartoon (only one cartoon, please!) related to the topics we’ve been discussing (MSM, Need for ‘Real Change,’ Campaign lies and ‘pre-selected’ candidates…)."

Sorry, I'll have to pass on that for the time being. I find myself having to explore and decide, failing to complete the task in an honest manner.

My all time fav toon is Fat Freddy's Cat. When your eyes are so red and tired you can't read properly, you can still read Fat Freddy's Cat.

I love CRUMB... what a wild story; and then he sold everything - all his work - and moved to France. Hope he's doing well. what a sexual radical. lol.
