In life, figuring out who has aspergers is easy, they are rules-based, and will stab you in the back. The trick is getting them out of government so that their corporations can be reorganized with them on the outside.

I rather thought that all the rules had been flung aside and the robbers were ruling the roost, people capable of great deceit, particularly self-deceit; narcissists and psychopaths.

Gotta agree with Mouse on this one. People with autism tend to be victims -- not predators.

Not to say that someone with asperger's can't have another disorder that does make them 'act out' ....

This is about the most self-deceitful, narcissistic, and psychopathic crap I have ever read:

Apsergers is by definition a mind with the disease of having no ability to communicate emotionally because of a failure of the emotional communication neurons. It is a complete lack of empathy. The primary symptom of aspergers in children is cruelty to animals.

For a simple reason: they write the data. Or did you forget that we live in an unempathic world? And hence your ineffectual digital existence here in this "reality" where the host tells me that there is only place to go, a violent global collapse like something like the French revolution crossed with Armageddon, that will lead to an "enlightenment."

He gave me Wikipedia links. I followed them to enlightened economics, Adam Smith's writing about "sympathy" that they credit as the basis of his economic principles of free markets, which if nobody here realizes, is destroying the planet we live on.

Psychiatry diagnosed nearly everyone with a problem in the 1970-80s as being schizophrenic.
Psychiatry did not recognize trauma as a mental affliction until 20 years ago, and only recognized it in children in 1994. These are simple facts nearly every normal human understands.

Psychological tests in the mid 1980s showed that people who think for themselves are psychotic. (That I just found out from my g/f who is writing her psychology dissertation.)

It takes hundreds if not a thousand years build a philosophy. The losers you are citing were still lost in space twenty or less years ago. So what part of the information you are telling me I should believe?

It would seem like you might not have read very widely. Asperger's syndrome is an affliction ... something off the 'norm', whatever that might be ... but it does not automatically equate to psycho/socio-pathy.

Oh fer chrissakes. First of all, let's remember that "psychology" is as advanced now as "surgery" was when they first began performing trepanation. Crude at best... but probably better than nothing. I had several students filling out papers claiming Asperger syndrome as a disability.. so I had to look it up as I never freakin HEARD of it.

They tended to be shy... and got "hung up" on certain things. My impression was that it is now the "disorder du jour" the shrinks are using to push whatever load of pharma the chick-with-the-nice-legs (pharma rep) comes in and pushes on the docs. By the way, I fucking detest shrinks. I tend to like them as people, and actually visit some occasionally to see if they know any more about my "Dysthemia." Usually, they don't.

I got along just fine for years, self-medicating with good weed... but after the Ronzo era of police state and piss-tests, decided it was far safer (for ME anyway) to just live with it. I can honestly say that after leaving the korporat world, I haven't felt the overwhelming urge to choke the living shit out of some turd-sack that richly deserves it. Now, that said...

Lumping all non-empathetic people into the "Aspbergers" bucket is pure twaddle... psycho-babble bullshit. I prefer the more precise and scientific term: "assholes." Granted, "Aspbergers" may SOUND a lot like "assholes," but it is clearly NOT the same thing, There are assholes, FLAMING assholes, and dick-drip fuckwad coprophagic flaming fucking assholes... with varying degrees of assholeness. But the initial diagnosis aint all that difficult. Would you say that a sadist beating the shit out of a masochist was "empathetic?"

With assholes (as with anything else) there are no differences except varying degrees of difference between difference and no difference. Meh. So believe this: an asshole is an asshole. So would a masochist beating the shit out of a sadist be applying "the Golden Rule?" So much for "Philosophy." Feh. Anyone with a passing interest in applying "psychology" to today's fustercluck should read Bob Altemeyer's "The Authoritarians."

Altemeyer refers to the assholes as "double-highs" and the fucking twits he calls "authoritarians." So here's where we are now: the assholes have used the fucking twits to turn the entire monetary culture into a TOTAL Ponzi scheme. It always HAS BEEN somewhat of a Ponzi scheme, but the assholes convinced the fucking twits that it was a good idea to completely un-tether it from the matter-energy system.

The trick on the internet is to fine-tune your twaddle-detector and when it beeps, stop reading their shit.

Having come from a family of lunatics, I can attest to knowing something about psychological disorders. They come in a variety flavors and are very real. Most, I believe, are neurosis's that develop due to an inability to manage anxiety. Genetics play a part in our susceptibility to them. As do environmental factors.

There's no doubt that psychological disorders are on the rise. We're all stuck in the same cage and us rats are beginning to eat other. That's why many of us are here. If this ain't group therapy, I don't know what is.

The whole reason behind this board is to ferret out the truth. We may not all agree with each other's version of 'what that is.' But, we should all expect a certain level of respect for any of the ideas presented here. Let's keep it civil. No one should be afraid to express a alternative POV here.
