I haven't seen "Avitar" yet... and probably won't get around to it any time soon. But the future IS going to be Green... the easy way or the hard way.

"we could drink out of any river"......if you didn't mind risking a bout of giardia

I have a knee-jerk reaction to framing this with Avatar and the newage music underscoring but......gotta get the message out to the less informed.....

Ms. Medusa told about the time over 20 years ago she was volunteering at the Third Mesa and was stunned to realize that the outhouse just dumped down the side of the Mesa. They also threw other trash down the side of the hill. She asked about it and was told that it goes back to the earth. She realized that she didn't know the whole story and it was quite likely that her informants were just messing with her but it did alleviate some of that romanticism that she held for the Indian living in harmony with nature.

She came to the realization that "going Native" wasn't her path when some guy from the Rez asked her if she was from the Wannabe tribe.

I think what was great about the indians is that there were way fewer of 'em than there are Americans now. Hard to screw up the environment when you're nomadic and fast food hasn't been invented yet.
