I just don't get why mask wearing as a response to a virus is rallying cry for freedumb.  "They are making us wear masks, they are fascists" they cry as they clutch their pearls and beat up a Green who, even worse, wants to save us from the imagined climate crisis.  Fuckin' Nazis and their vegan ways - just like Hitler who was a vegetarian you know.....an artist too!

If the financial unwind shapes up as harshly as it looks from here, the response will get more severe. The universities themselves will suffer hugely as their budgets crash through the floor and all, of a sudden, they have to issue pink slips to a half dozen Diversity deans on six-figure salaries. Many colleges will begin the process of shutting down in 2019 as their student loan racket disintegrates.

Saw this today:

Starting with the summer 2022 term, Dartmouth College is removing all federal and institutional loans from its undergraduate financial aid awards and replacing them with expanded scholarship grants. The change is being credited to a fund-raising campaign launched in 2018 that managed to generate $3.3 billion.

"The college has also eliminated parent contributions for families making under $65,000 annually."  I wonder how many people at Dartmouth fit that description.
