Life in the Empire

Hi all, I hope you liked my other writing (I first read about a pornocracy back in the 70s, and everybody thought I was nuts).

I want to create a kind of reporting page for reports, odd-facts, and one-liners about the Pres and VP. No heavy discussion, just one-liners (that can of course point to discussions on the topics).

For instance, we have all read with relief that Iraq may be over in about a year, but Obama also just put 17,000 troops into Afghanistan. What's up w/ that? Russian redux?

Biden has a long history of intellectual property legislation, which is openly an extension of the annexation of the public domain to create wealthy estates. The words are purposefully the same: property and public domain. This is evil up evil, and Gore was in on it too. It was Gore that gave the Internet to the corporations, prior to his misdeed of unspeakable proportions, the Internet was the property of the US within the US. That needs to be fixed.

A key part of economy is communication, and communication is the easiest place to subsidize--no investment is required, simply the dismissal of the very people who f*up the world in the first place. (This goes to the kleptocracy article.) The rest can be, and has been, done in the public domain that is often called "open source." This can apply not only to software but communication grid design (called meshing) and hardware design. There is an openly developed free wifi phone, but only one. Since the government is public domain by definition, it makes sense for them, or it, to assist the process. Competition is no problem for the open developers as they all want to be their own bosses.

On the other hand, Obama seems to be pushing for the environment as hard as he can, but he needs to marginalize the environmental predators such as the hunters and bulldozer drivers, and especially the environmental traitors such as the WWF, the World Wildlife Fund.

On some stuff he just needs to be nudged onto the correct path, such as the environment. On other stuff he does is so far off that the truth needs to be told. Truthfully, I initially converted from a skeptic to an Obama supporter, and emailed to his people election information that he seems to have followed exactly. But now his deploying troops to Afghanistan has turned me back to a skeptic. But now he promises an end to Iraq... Starting to look like a roller-coaster ride, and hence the need for up-to-date information to act on.

I am planning to do this on Facebook (Care2 and OEN are hopelessly psychotic), or maybe here?

What he is doing right, where he is going wrong, and what should he be doing fix things
broad topics:

Economy
Military
Environment
Education
Health
Narcotics and other drugs
Information Society

Some of these items might have to become subsets of others, a benefit of Ning's setup is that the top topic in a discussion thread can be edited and refined. I think when it is somewhat gelled here I can move it to Facebook.

You can try it here, bro... more power to ya!

Anybody who burns wood for heat understands what GreenPeace is. Green piece. Sometimes, that's all ye got. Wood be good to wait 'til it's "seasoned." But any kinda "would" is better than no wood at all... especially when the pipes is about to freeze.

How far out on the prairie is "temporary?"
What reforms? Roller coaster reforms, just like any other politician.

This writing is based on comments by Mr M and Jersey Girl on OEN (and I am having a very hard time formatting it!)

The continued false wars?
Leaving Iraq for Afghanistan, which would have made sense in 2001-02, but doesn't now that we know that the source for the Al Queda is not the Taliban but Wahhabism, a militant cleric cult that put the Saud family in power in the 1700s. It took till 1920 for them to capture Mecca and Median. The Shiites blame the Sunnis, and the Sunnis blame the Wahhabis. As it happens I remember peak Saudi purchases of downtown NY real estate in 2002, so the Saudis knew what was going on all along. Saudi Arabia is the place to go, or not to go. I have shown that it would be pretty easy to cut our energy expenses to 10% through public transportation (trains), proper freight dispatching (most truck trailers over the road are at least 1/2 empty), exponential tax of electricity waste, and of all things, a decrease in meat consumption.

The continued phony war on drugs?
Obama has called off the DEA dogs for marijuana in California. Now states can make their own decisions. A bill fully legalizing smoke in California has been introduced.

The continued renditions and torture?
He just ordered Gitmo shut down, symbolic but effective.

His irrational and continued blind support for Israel?
On day one of his presidency, Israel left Gaza. Since then Israel has not retaliated for continuted Hamas rockets that are aimed at Israel every day. The borders are open for humanitarian support. So far, so good.

His refusal to aggressively investigate bush administration crime?
It is a little odd that Obama won't hang Bush. Bush must do the "perp walk." When Bush gets
busted, a lot of Obama's opposition will fall, especially with respect to energy and the environment. Right now the Right seems to be grouping around and effort to fight global warming legislation, which in part shows the Right connection to oil, which knowing oil, would include Saudi oil. And the Saudis have been incubating terror for hundreds of years, and... you get the picture.

The continued refusal to re-instate Posse Comitatus and the refusal to rescind Patriot Act and Military Commission Act?
These I have to research, and maybe Obama does too!

His refusal to even consider a proper investigation on 9/11?
That was a long time ago, we know that Bush was in bed with the Bin Laden family prior to September 2001, and helped the Bin Laden family escape the Us -- some of them went on to become Osama's lieutenants.

His insane caving in to banks ans continued giving away our treasury to them?
That is where he is f*ing up royally. We knew from the get-go that he is corporate, we were well warned, but what was the choice? The military Right--beyond conservative. We got him to promise an end to the
"trickle down theory," but I am not sure he knew what that meant during his final and famous election speech. It means eliminating the flow of cash to the rich, which means the dismantling of the capital structure,
where I might add, communism is simply a perfected form of capital (if you compare Marx and Durant's Caesar and Christ).

I am shooting for declining growth which can easily be shown to equal out to mass distribution of the resources democratically. Charity starts at home, so this would be for the US and possibly Canada, but not Mexico. Mexico and the rest of Latin America have made the majority of their wealth pumping cocaine into the arms of American youth--it has to stop. Mexico has become the second richest nation in the West purely by crime and other parasitic practices, such as dismembering the US work force (with the blessings of both Social Liberals and Corporate Libertarians).

His insane delusion in thinking we can borrow our way out of debt?
More of where we have to focus criticism, and especially have to come up with ideas that are not doomed to failure such as communism and socialism. I have been reading John Wesley's economics of thrift (my g/f's father is a theocracy PhD and showed me Wesley's stuff after I told him about my radical rattlesnake manifesto). His adapting near all of bush's powers for himself? Isn't that what presidents do? My solution is to eliminate the presidency. In fact, using my Empathy Model (shorter pyramids are geometrically kinder), I think that we might benefit from an American break-up into a confederacy, and we know the South would support that!! The South, Midwest, and the South West would no longer have our money to waste, and California would be isolated out there surrounded by rural states, and it would have to stop its destructive nonsense.

Obama has done well with the environment and eduction so far, pushing as hard as he can. He needs to dump the "illnesses" of predatory behavior and pyramidal control, and focus on the people, like he said he would.

Jersey Girl (on OEM) made some comments two of which I answered:
You are absolutely right when you say "I can't even get excited about his environmental "reforms" when I know it's just another way to tax us into oblivion..." and "As for education, states are broke, how will they match any teeny funds they get to implement the program?"

As for the environment, that is where the fascists are grouping, so it will be tough for him. But when it comes to education, especially in relation to the economy, that is where I see the duplicity. They told us when he started a couple years back that he is about the big money, and my decade on wall street tells me that the big money can be both evil and liberal! Aristotle taught under a tree--that must have been extremely cost efficacious. American became a power state based on the one-room school house, but now education tanks under the weight of centralized school districts and high-stakes testing, a European idea. (The one-room school houses were not perfect only because of centralized control over the teachers, who were mistreated.)

This is why I am focusing on a rural solution that turns the clock back with respect to community self-determination. In fact the only benefits of modern American society are medicine and an end to bias, and possibly the Internet.

I initially started with economic ideas with what I thought would be a social revolution friendly to country people,
and especially the South, called the rattlesnake manifesto, after the first symbol of the US military. It was more reminiscent of Shay's rebellion, which forced the formation of the Constitution to end colonial corruption.

Then I found out that my plan was nearly exactly John Wesley's Methodist thrift plan, though I added math to the equation to push the taxes to only attack waste at the extreme levels. http://thinman.com/rattlesnake

As it happens, Bush is a Methodist, and if it gets around that he is actually anti-Methodist because of his trickle down practices, then the last of his supporters will suffer a final blow. The upshot may then be a shift to Wesley's socialist economics, which is what I think of as radical revolution.

Putting old-timey religion aside, Wesley's only weak spot was prohibition; we all saw how that went!!

I am going to start researching Wesley and the Methodists. What I have found among the saner of the Christians is actually a parallel to the present development of the Scientific Method, where God is nearly equivalent to the concept of a single phenomena, and both are based on non-bias.

I have been planning to start an Obama watch group on Facebook, and it would be great to have you comment on the issues as they appear in the press, JG!!
I kid you not...

Tender, Juicy Obama Fingers Hit the Shelves

A German frozen food company hopes to raise sales with a new product: Obama fingers. The tender, fried chicken bits come with a tasty curry sauce. The company says it was unaware of the possible racist overtones of the product.

Ed. Note: Who'd want to eat Obama's fingers?
For Americans in Germany, though, there is a risk that the product might be seen as racially insensitive.

Do ya think?!??

I think they should have a follow-up product named Obama Boneless Ham - seedless watermelons. What could possibly be wrong with that?
"...might be seen as racially insensitive"

Nah, not really. If them were Obammy Whammy Chocolate Covered Bush Fangerz then maybe. But just maybe. I don't know where they got the idea. On his very 1st flight on Air Force One, when asked which meal he would prefer, he said he'd just have a hamburger with fries. Now THAT is insulting! Hamburger huh. Why not a Berliner or a Frankfurter?

"...might be seen as racially insensitive"

Yip. That one sure redefines the old border on being insensitive. It makes the Obama Fingers look yummy and downright patriotic.
Odd Fact Report

The Obama Garden is begun. Does this mean I will be left alone with mine?
