Things are pretty much fucked everwhere now. If it ain't bible thumpers, it's drug pumpers and mother humpers. Sometimes all three in one package. I wrote a long reply to waldo last night and it got eaten by the Mobil data monster. Will post more when I'm back on Wi-Fi. We're traveling back home from Portland , Washington and Montana. It's burning up out here. We picked up our newest home on the road. 82 sunrader. No a.c.. Waldo you know where we live. Pan we're driving though pocatello, now that you are gone. Just checked the weather for today (because I'm getting sick of this endless heat) and it looks like sunny days with temps in the 90's for the foreseeable future. 'Round here, a 90 degree day used to be a rarity.  Now it seems, we break temp ecords daily.

I'm predicting 'North Pole Cool-downs' are going to the next vacation destination. Staying cool is going to become the next exploitable commodity.

Oh... what's this? The "war on Christmas" didn't work... maybe a "war on the Fourth" will? Not gonna fly. Here's why: 

1. Global Warming (Climate Catastrophe) is real. 95% probability is as about as close to a sure thing as you can get in the real world. It's physics, and very soon- climate deniers are going to look as stupid as evolution deniers... because they are both WRONG. 

2. In the USA, the liberal-conservative left-right paradigm no longer applies. Why? Because in the USA, there is no "two-party" system. There is one party, the Money Party (Republicrats). Want more proof? Look out the window. Positioning based on a dwindling base of stupid-heads who think they are "conservative Christians" is a doomed strategy. 

3. Monetary Collapse (2008): "Capitalism" is toast. Why? Because looters who called themselves "capitalists" flooded the monetary system with paper derivative "financial instruments" that are supposed to be "worth" in "dollars" more than the future gross output of the earth. Problem: see reason #1. 

Eco-socialism is the philosophical future... and that is only a poor speculative label employed by this poor cobbler here, July 4 2015. Who knows what the kids will call it 100 years from now? But the future will be green: whether from grass growing on the ruins or a sustainable, equitable society. 

I wish you a happy 4th of July celebration, my beloved American siblings. 

But if the celebration is guilt-free... we haven't been paying attention.

Nothing 'eco' is going to work unless humans reduce their population size. 2.5 billion consumers when I was born. 7 billion now. Carrying capacity of the planet was exceeded 60 years ago. 

Monkeys with shoes. Always the other guy's problem. Oh, wait. I really shouldn't insult monkeys. I believe they demonstrate more community spirit than we do.

Let's blow some shit up and play with our bananas. How many bullets will get stuck in my roof tonight. Don't know, but I'm wearing a helmet.

Yes climate change is real alright.  Friend of mine is part of that panel & I tagged along to a conference where he gave keynote address on the 5 scenarios ... all plausible ... the climate guru's came up with.  We already can't make no. 1 best case.  We can make no. 2 if we all align in the same direction & he remains optimistic (I believe optimism is something one is born with or without) but I see the world hurtling towards the worst one ... autocratic nation states divided into haves in their fortresses & the havenots clamouring around outside.  If it's happening in the US I can't imagine where it isn't going to happen.  Been reading about Snowden & NSA.  

And no... monkeys don't deserve a bad rap.  They're getting one here.  We have lots in town & here' the interesting thing which people have scientifically noted about the monkey population but failed to follow through to the take home lesson .... monkeys that have had access to human food here in town are breeding many times more rapidly than in the wild with a very high infant survival rate .... and we have a monkey population explosion on our hands.  Answer being touted is to shoot the excess monkeys.  

People overbreeding on the same food in the same proportion are not being shot .... what important point am I failing to grasp?
