Life in the Empire

We don't need another / a new discussion to prove it.

It is as it is.

Let this "fred" (discussion thread) live under the theme .......

long live this family

brothers, sisters, brethern, dogs, cats and birds, ants and flees, water and air and gas and Clare and Jim and him and the window Simm (??) and you and me and he and she and we and them and us and puss (???) and fish and the dish (it's on) and paper and pen.

going to make a new skirt for the summer, three tiers of twelve inches, making a yard in length.  The top tier made of two widths of fabric gathered into the waist, the middle tier of three widths and the last tier that meets the world around the ankles is five widths I find, when I look to see my favourite skirt, that I am wearing again out of ten years habit, handwoven organic calico in tiny stripes of greens and yellows.

That sounds lovely mouse.
Testing to see if I can reply. Tried over and over

I sure hope P&J are ok... "...in the armpit, for the love o' God..." : the Fla. panhandle doesn't get shots like this... and this looks nasty.  Listening to Bro. Christopher preach tonight... still don't have the emotional strength to write about my sweet Jenny... and soon it will be Rosa's 155th Reformation Day.  Heinrich is the name of my grandson... and he came into this world a few weeks ago.

I will be at Chickamauga this night.  I know this shitshow is taking a toll on all of us... your silence speaks volumes.  This war will never be over for old Henry.  Maybe baby Henry will live to see the light.  Maybe Rosa has sent him to do just such a thing.

Wow. Grand daddy Waldoheimer. Congrats!

You're right. Feeling pretty hopeless at this point. Also feeling pretty fuckin old. Should have seen Hedges when he was in town, but I can pretty much recite his whole serman by heart now. Would have liked to give him a hug though. I just hate going downtown and dealing with traffic. And crowds. And trying to find my way back home.

Hope Paul checks in soon. That was a nasty fucking storm. Undoubtably lost his power.

Are we going to make it through another winter?

"Trying to find my way back home..."  You said everything there, brother BO.  That's sometimes the hardest part... innit.

I know P&J are highly organized and together... but P:  please give a shout-out that you're ok.  When it's convenient- of course.  I'm thinking about how Curt drew Markey-the-troll away from us.  God how I miss him.  Both of em.  (psst- and Em- how are you?)

lying in bed, listening to the rain, dog curled up between knees and feet under her blanket to keep the light out.

what a good day, with grand children huddled over their books and drawings here while their mother prepares more lectures for the new job that was offered out of the blue.  She has little time for sleep, so I sleep for her, stretching the nights out under pacific blue I dyed and dried here on the line between.

We were/are fine. Neighbor lost a tree, we found it in our back yard.  Lost power for two days, back on Friday night but we still had ice in the freezer.  Just got internet back Monday night. Good to be off-line for awhile....started reading.

Sister wants to put death by stupidity on FaceBook.  Sez eye:

"Death by Stupidity" by waldopaper.  The Author: "Saying shit on the internet since 1988."

Have at it, Hoss.  Of course I will "vote."  But I will leave some lines blank when it makes no fucking difference.  Otherwise, it's at least free entertainment.  And you get to see what other folks in the district look like and guess how they might be voting.  It's part of the freak show, and we got front row seats.

If you're interested in the miriad ways planet earth is changing into an uninhabitable ball off garbage, you might consider joining The Near Term Human Extinction Support Group on Facebook. It's a kind of hospice group for those that know our days are numbered and have come to accept it.

As far as politics go: with an oligarchy in complete control of everything, I no longer see any purpose in voting. It's just another form of denial. BTW, Bernie is a bigger fraud than Trump.
