We're all Indians off the Reservation now. Regimentation: extreme organization and control of people. Why looky here: does this like some kind of Tea Party Manifesto? It should.
The false dichotomy continues: "The Government of the United States is no longer the government of a confederate republic, but of a consolidated democracy." Wasn't it designed to be both... or neither?

Had breakfast with 3 Moose (Moosi? Mooses? Meese?) in Grand Teton National Park. A female and two male moose that we had seen about 15 feet off the trail the night before came and watched us eat breakfast in our backpacking campsite. The female laid down about 20 feet from us. She stayed there until after we packed up and left. With the experience with the large elk herd on our Lemhi Mountain trip, we have been having some rather spectacular interactions with large members of the Family Cervidae
Leaving tomorrow or Friday for a trip to Portland - I have a job interview for Executive Director of Young Audiences - not sure if I want the job or not.....would really like to be able to give J. a way out from the creepshow at ISU and my gender-based identity would get a boost if I could "do my duty" and get a get a goddam job. My hope is that getting out of academia I might be able to work with professionals who still think the work is more important than the job; who aren't just mercenaries or, worse yet, see themselves as lifers with no hope for parole. We are going to take a few days camping in Mt. Hood and be able to deduct the expenses from taxes.

Nah. The futility of presenting existing material is probably part of something else. Some German kids have offered to publish a monograph... but it might be "vanity." Volk Ja could be that... but a libretto seems more fun, useful and challenging. Surprised how much of this existing material is about the "American" civil war.
Same elephant in the classroom. And except for a few buttons and caps, it's the same dam thing, I tell ye. Same dancing Manitoulin drummed up with King George and all that. So the southrons wanted to continue balkinizing while the euros were trying to reverse the trend. Union lost in Europe, by the way. Regressives usually won.
There's a civil war going on in Egypt right now. We have learned to think of it in all Lincolns, blue and gray. The boys were the original backpackers too. Used to have a popular fork-spoon thingummy used by my great great grandpap in the civil war. All that gets lost in the boom bang and maps and arrows.
Speaking of which, they kept on with the war against the Indians and nobody said shit... and what was said it sounded like them squeaky abolitionists. Sheridan said the only good Indian was a dead Indian. German boys were for a fair shake for immigrants including even the dumb Irish. You fired at groups of men firing at you.
Ten guys lined up from one side of the road to the other, a foot or so between them. Next line, about four feet away. Ten lines were supposed to be a Company; ten companies a regiment. Civilians said it took a whole day for a Corps to pass. That would be about 20,000 people excluding horses, whores, artillery and wagons all at walking speed.
I passed a military convoy once in Iowa or some fucking place... going the opposite the direction. It went all the way the horizon and took about ten minutes to pass at a speed of about 140 mph. All trucks and humvees. Math is in there somewhere. They said that Lee's retreating wagon train was at least 20 miles long.
That opera must have been awesome, but has anybody figured out the plot yet?

Been missing because my internet service has been out for a week. Nice to be able witness this train wreck of contemporary society in HD again.
Second video seemed kind of humorous until you realize that those old folk -- not much older than me -- probably don't have a clue about what they're participating in. Then it begins to look like a sick joke. A bit like child pornograhy. But then, a case could be made that religion itself is really another form of pornography.
