We don't need another / a new discussion to prove it.

It is as it is.

Let this "fred" (discussion thread) live under the theme .......

Sent you an email at the bobo4u address. Hope we can work it out.
Glad you and the Mrs. are okay.
If you decide to have a group camp out, I expect pics to be posted for those who can't attend.
Gosh Pan - glad you both ok. I don't know that many places in the States ... but believe it or not I knew Hood River quite well. I spent a year in White Salmon which had sales tax so we did a lot of shopping in Hood River which didn't - bulk shopping cancelled out the bridge toll fees and it was still a bargain.
I almost didn't make it through this week. Not sure what's going on exactly but I completely lost my will to live and od'd on tranquilizers and ended up in hospital. A little woozy still - but alive. Jees - to think I nearly orphaned my fur babies! I have been thinking a lot about the recent instability and it seems to coincide with a visit to the oncologist who changed my medication when my blood cancer count came back high. Shit - I thought I was 'cured' ... apparently not. I am going to try and see the doctor again next week to see if its the meds that have caused the trouble. I'm sort of caught between choosing whether to see a gynae, a psychiatrist or an oncologist and the nearest medical centre is 5 hours drive from here - so it's going to be 'one of those weeks'.
Oh geez, I hope you stopped taking those meds until you see which ever of the three doctors you decide on. And I'm glad your still with us.
Be insistent that at least one of the medical specialists sees you as a whole - rather than you through the lens of their specific area of specialization.

Don't know how the medical system works where you live.....if you have access to the equivalent of a nurse practitioner you may find more complete care.

Our thoughts are with you as you go through this.
what pan says <3
Sorry to hear about your recent incident, Cal. Assuming you're dealing with menopause, a lack of estrogen in your system can play havoc on your mood. I only mention it because Mrs. BO is dealing with depression which seems to be related to her own hormonal deficiencies.

Pan's comment about seeing someone who will 'treat the whole person' is very good advice.

Know that we're all wishing you the best.
was thinking about you this week, too....
whichever dr or drs you decide to go to make sure they all get all your tests, without sharing info you will not get the best they can do. i had to be in charge for my son until i forced one doc to be the go to guy. drug interactions commonly cause mood changes. take it easy, and breathe....stressing won't help, and we are all here at the end of the internet tubes.
what is this? go away for a few days and you guys get into accidents and depression and stuff. wow. i better keep my eye on you folk. you're acting like the world as we know it is coming to an end. well, just because it is... that's no reason to go and act like it.

hey- the reason we are here is because we know the world as we know it is kinda fucked up. now imagine we could keep going without dragging all our gargantuan baggles of "stuff." you know- all the "stuff" we all had to keep making and selling because energy and transportation was cheap. well... only because the stuff to make it was cheap... and it aint no more. petro is costing us big-time in more ways than one.

so what if we started living in houses like this: small cozy spaces we could put anywhere... and move easily. We have talked about micro-houses before... but here is one package-solution to the warm/dry/hydration and poop problem. the infrastructure to support this is here! we could be making it locally and buying it locally.

the answer is right here right now, we gotta hunker down and take the blows (and they will be severe) for being so fukkin stoopid for so fukkin long. turns out that solving "people problems" is a whole lot more difficult than solving technical problems.

cheer up, kids! life is a disease with a bad prognosis... and nobody gets out of here alive. so for the brief time you're here, may as well have some fukkin fun... long as it aint at nobody else's expense. yeah- that's hard to do in the big pitcher... so we draws a big kool-ade smile on it an glugs it on down. if we keep the "least of these" in mind, we'll make it. piece of pie.

easy as cake.
Oh gimme, gimme, gimme .... I could surely use 10 kitchens. Could do with a good dose of retail therapy to help alleviate the embarressment of my recent dramatics.
Did someone say, gimme, gimme?
