30th class reunion to either attend or ignore. Think I'll attend. Need to show my face again after more than ten years. Will probably pop in and get the hell right back out. My hard earned Euros are better spent in northern England, Scotland, Ireland, Greece, France and of course, right here where I am now.
While in the Army, I was working on a tape....reel to reel kind of tape....along the theme of "going home", "coming home" etc. The Ten Years After song was the opener. I worked on the tape for over a year before practically giving it and my complete stereo, including various tapes, records and cassette tapes away to a room mate the day before I left for "home". Once I got there, I realized it was gone. Home had changed while I was away. Friends moved away, school closed its gates to me....there was no job opening for me and the local "employment office" refused to assist because, as they put it, I left a good job by choice = 3 months without unemployment pay and no assistance. Family was still there, multiplying like rabbits. They still are btw. I called a friend in Germany and asked if I could crash at his place for a while and he said "sure, when is your flight arriving?" That was 1981. I was 18 when I left "home" early '79. Have been back a few times since. Like I said, the last time was more than ten years ago. This one may be my last one. I don't like the place. The people there are so wrapped up in their lives and so closed off to the rest of the world, it just makes me ill. That was more of a general statement.

my sound is off... and i cant access the control panel... the time is wrong... cant access the control panel... hmmm.
got a serious spyware/ popup/ virus problem... norton expired,,, wont run... and i think it has joined the other side.
gotta do some geeking on this machine... and the geeking chops are real rusty... expecially win-doze.... or pretty soon this machine is going to go dark... any suggestions appreciated i can read between the pop-ups.
Curt... wherever ye land in US... some of us can come to where you are...
dam writing between the pop-ups is even harder...

Actually, every word of that article is worth quoting.
