Life in the Empire

made of hessian/burlap, planted with one climbing bean, one squash, 3 marigolds and a poppy.
You see, it is quite steep a hill.

Next season, I'll start the beans up in the living room nursery and set the out, gradually, mid-may. To have them start from sead(bean) is too slow. These buggers are never gonna produce.

On a side note, my diet will have to be altered, cutting out beans all together. As much as I love these fuits of nature, I'll have to learn to avoid them. And Hefeweizen Bier. And meat, in the amounts I do now.

Things are coming along very slowly in our garden. Not quite sure why.

I like looking at that photo so much, terribly fond of that particular spot among several others, very restful and pleasing with birds singing all about.
Sorry to hear your digestion is playing up, or so I surmise from your sorrowful remarks about beans and beer. Are you relaxing when you eat, it makes such a difference to really stop, breathe deeply and eat slowly and thoughtfully. Gives the whole system a chance to potter gently along. Particularly important it times of turmoil, for all the family.

Mouse, I'm the slowest eater I know. Always the last left chewing. No, it's likely gouty arthritis (high-purine diet, uric acid). Blood test next tuesday. Funny how I planted all them beans only to have to have to turn them down to keep purin levels low. This sucks. Beans & Beer. Damn.
