Life in the Empire

....or, how to deal with the inevitable aftermath of the approaching collapse of the US and with it, the World economy. We had a thread like this going good over at the first RBC...remember, the one we all moved to from other cyber places like The Smirking Chimp and Project for the Old American Century ?? Those were the days. We were hot on convincing people the USA is fascist. Life was rough. Nobody listened. We screamed our lungs out, some of us. Still, nobody listened. The Bush bashing took the front seat of most every discussion. No time for reality. No "Blick in die Zukunft" (view in the future). Tough titty, too late, the train is gone and now we have to look around for "a place to sleep". (after a personal experience as a young GI in Frankfurt. Life sucks when you realize you blew it big time by not listening to people's warnings)

Quoting Bo......(from a mini crusade he was on today);

"Well, here's your future discussion topic: The USA is dead.

The body's been burned to a crisp, hung from a bridge, and the limbs are falling off.

The RBC is now making plans to survive the aftermath. That's the reality we need to prepare for now."

So bring 'em on, those survival techniques. Copy & Patse from the other other RBC too. What good will it do us o'er there when the damn place (TribeNet) collapses ?

What wall paper goes with that?

LOL
Could you see them goin' into Lowes or the Depot asking them to color match this or that dead critter?
It'll be okay, it isn't all mormons and the like. you are close to skiing in wyoming and it influences it there. We go through there at least twice a year, sometimes 4 times. We come over from Kemmerer, WY. You can go look for fossil fish there. There are good hotsprings not too far away One of my favorite roads in the us is east of you, highway 30 (goes to K,WY). Gas is 3.85 there right now. We drive slow, and it's okay, never been flipped off around there. Pocatello Co-op 815 S. 1st Ave. Pocatello, ID 83201. So don't worry! I think you will be pleasantly surprised if you don't project the northwest preconceptions of the place. When I moved from port townsend, I just bit my lip when the oh so hip denizens of the art and woodenboat world there made fun of me. Well, I have 3 houses and a building here, and sold my PT house for a ridiculous amount of money (after i had paid off 2 houses and a building here) to someone who has more money than sense. I am now a reasonable number of miles from santa fe, denver, mpls, chicago - everywhere but PT....and i am sooo done with there.

welcome to the neighborhood (sorta)
I just submitted a mondo double-barreled RANT to opednews as a "diary" (because that's where original material seems to be read)... but i got this strange feeling about neglecting the RBC family. Why is this? We been through an interesting filter... first Smirking Chimp (Tiedrich should only drop dead)... and then Double Helix' "kool kids klub" (where IS our bro anyway?) to us folk who are here.

Ah shit- ye all heard me rants before... so no need to keep repeating meself. Audiovox clued me into a .22 round that's really silent for the buns... and right now we grapplin seriously wit the buns for the tiny veggie garden... but i see an interesting parallel analogy for the military fetishist freaks. we got the chikkenwire fence in today. i set a snare.

if i gets a bun in the snare, i'll take the ooda axe (mebbe some on that later)... chop herr bunrab into little pieces and scatter them round the growing area. Part of the deal is showin the bunrabs you aint fuckin around.

Just like a "hot-headed liberal."
As I've always said, Waldo, you deserve a wide audience. Your writing (and of course, embedded sentiment) is as good as Mark Morford's or Joe Bageant's. And you ought to be gettin' paid for it.

Get some exposure. This RBC'r won't feel neglected. I'm just damn proud to know ya.
Are you joshin'.......sometimes I can't tell, being me and all? Please don't. If your gonna kill 'er skin 'er and eat 'er, ...................alright.
I'm a real ass when it comes ta killin' critters, you're livin' on their land, plant alittle extra and share. Plant a little patch that's easy for them to get to and protect yours. They'll go for the easy. And don't scatter dead bunrap around your garden, it'll stink.
I'm with littleoldme on that one ... I plant enough to share around with all the creatures I've made homeless with my suburban lot. I've got vervet monkeys helping themselves to my fruit all the time & they're welcome ... enough for all of us ... -:)
I was just thinking to myself today about how one can make raised garden patched hich enough or smart enough to keep wabbits out....and to plant a patch for the critters to dig in on. LOM & Cal are right on this one....if you can't beatem, join em.
ok ok... no killum bunrabs unless me eatum. DOG eatum count? ogg no gud wit planty thing... no grow fast nuff to keep up wit bunrabs. ogg real dum.
do tell, you have an ogg? Jesue fuckin christ man! Oggs were bread to kill wabbits. Methinks, again..very dangerous ground here with me thankin n so..........Ogg can eat what Ogg kills. Lazy Ogg, hungry Ogg. Otherwise, if no real super duper overpop like in the outback in ...whats the place called again..... Australia occurs, no need to put up them thousand mile long fences. Just feed the fuckers till the croak from overweight!

But seriously, raised beds.........raise them up up up. Wabbit no hop but so high.
Shhhhhhhhh, I'm hunting wabbits. What the hell is an ogg?
