god what a heartbreaker. and all us old VN-era coots haven't even died off yet. I'm feeling like Bob Dylan said in God on Our Side... "whearrry as HELL."

I got a 50-year snapshot... from the Cold War... to VN... to Gulf War 1... which used up most of my life. That's all I need to see. I aint marchin anymore. Here's how I see the past 50 years: same old shit- redux. Rinse and repeat. Maybe I oughta make a list:

Fuck war. Fuck the corporate bullshit. Fuck "civil discourse" with beings from the alternate reality. Fuck money. Fuck "capitalism" (and maybe a bunch of other "isms" too). Fuck "patriots." Fuck Xians and all the other numb-nut fucks who don't understand the ancient teachings in the least. Fuck TV. Fuck petrol. Fuck traffic. Fuck WalMart. Fuck "leadership."

I like: dogs. bicycles. beans and rice. grapefruit juice. reading writing and being left the fuck alone. coffee... don't forget coffee. beer. people who don't have their heads up their ass. kids who are willing to listen. old people who are willing to talk. and cigs... but i gotta cut em loose- and maybe beer too. almonds.

Who have we become? we have become all the things we claim we are not. We thought we had this shit all figured out in 1968. So I sold out... just like this kid sold out when he ran down the recruiter to kick somebody's ass. It was all the Xians who wanted to kick somebody's ass. And I betcha Limbaugh-dad didn't hoist his chair and get piss all over his fingers.

I just about went crazy in '03... in the loony-fuck run-up to the invasion. We should have set cities on fire. But I aint marchin any more. Now I'm bitter as shit... with people going wuuuhhh... we're broke.... wuhhhh... we're fucked up- dead and dying- and ESPECIALLY- wuuhhh... "they" LIED to us. Well. what. the fuck. Big surprise, eh? I've already SEEN THIS MOVIE.
