Now that's a really fine idea littleoldme. Yes - I pass by those bits of thread on the highway all the time. I will stop and gather a few next time I pass them.
Something useful I've found in the last couple of months is eating lots of sprouting aduki beans, mung beans and lentils. Just sprouting them in jam jars on a shelf in the dark of the larder. Saves all that cooking, and is very nutritious indeed, tasty and fresh, nice with cheese and nuts and good in sandwiches.

Agreed mouse. I do that too.
Onward christian soldiers. Un...........,no wait, believable.
Audiobox sent me this link... as he said... "Just the sound of another Lego snapping into place." Aye, that it is. What better "business strategy" than to get paid to "train" potential rioters or looters instead to be SWAT teams and prison guards? It worked for the Nazis. The Sturmabteilung is hiring! "...preparing students for the front lines in the Nation's homeland security." "...to develop pseudo-military titles for bestowal upon its members." "...students, who are to be called Cadets..." DUH. When you have two black blobs the size of Rhode Island three feet away from each other... it really shouldn't be too hard to "connect the dots." This isn't for "terrorists..." it's for truckers... and anybody else who finally realizes "There comes a point, sooner or later, when you stop scrambling around on all fours and, like JB and his fellow drivers all over the country, you finally stand up."

They gave the SA rubber hoses... they'll give the "cadets" tasers... to deal with any "useless eaters" who decide to "stand up." Meanwhile... we natter on about "Obama and Hillary," which seems much more interesting than "quantum vacuum flux fields."

People like Steven Greer may be crazy... but they may be on to something far more useful than teenage girl beat-downs over postings on facebook. But hey-- what the fuck do I know?
"But hey-- what the fuck do I know?"

oceans more than Rob Kaal knows. Or was it Karl, or Kahl, or Kohl? "Obama and Hillary" ; get with the programm, dammit! Debate, discuss, get involved! Write your Congressperson! Sign this, sign that!

This is where Waldo and I agree to the tee. It's nothing less than one huge circus. The Wizard of Oz all over again. An ample amount of people are still buying it so what can ya do? What does a good Scout do?

Huh?

In the meantime, lay low, keep cool and retain your humor. Fuck sanity. Been looking for a good deal on a taser. Don't like guns.
More fun dots to connect... between those Homeland Security "charter schools" and Generation Kill. yep.

Meanwhile... how do ya git the beans to sprout instead of just being beans in a jar? The moist paper towel trick? Good to have some sprouts on hand when these dorks are driving down OUR streets listening to "tupac."
I soak the beans in water overnight before putting them in the jar ... then rinse them daily to keep them moist and fresh. Cheese cloth over the top of the jar helps keeps beans in while water being poured out ... otherwise you don't have to use a jar at all - you can just put the wet beans in a sieve or colander. Good to keep them in the dark though so they don't start turning green and photosynthesizing.
Generation Kill = More Idiocracy.

I'm not sure the Nazi parallels work. There is no ideology at work. Seems more like pure sociopathy to me. These kids never grew up because their parents never grew up. In fact, a lack of maturity--to me--is what defines American culture most. Americans easily succumb to hubris, greed, and religion because they are essentially children who have never developed the strength of character needed to think for themselves or exhibit such traits such as honesty and integrity.

These people feel no guilt because they don't know they are doing anything wrong. The biggest question is...'who failed them?'

Values--for the most part--are passed on from the parents. When 'the fittest' stop breeding, and the less than fit take over, you get reverse evolution. Eventually, a die-off is guaranteed.

Whether we like it or not, we're part of the process. Have some popcorn and enjoy the show. There isn't a damn thing we can do to change it.
Personal responsibility. Consequences. When children are told it's not their fault x happened, even though it was their fault, eventually nothing they do is their fault. It's always some one else's fault. If it's not their fault there are no consequences. They learn not to think about what they do before they do it, because there are no consequences.
Did that make sense?
