you mean one like this

??
How is your back now, Curt? Did you get that book and find out how important it is to stand with your knees slightly bent and... oh perhaps I shouldn't go into detail, I wouldn't want to embarrass any of us.

A disc went in my back when I was putting my daughter in her cot about 18 years ago. The book I recommended is still on my shelves and I refer to it again whenever the pain starts up and it always works.
sorry, did I tel you......my bike tour, my solo run up Devil's Highway (Route 666) to Route 66 and back down?

looksee

I'll be meeting up with a married couple in Oatman, Az. From there, we ride back to Casa Grande and on to Tucson together. My solo run, not so solo after Oatman, culminates in a big family picnic in Casa Grande and the 30 year highschool reunion all in one day. There will be no repeating this. It's THE ride of a lifetime. Gonna cost a pretty penny, no doubt but I don't think I'll ever do it like that ....ever again.

Comin' home to leave home again, real quick. The road is my home. The stars, my roof. strangers, my friends. Bears, Wolves, Snakes....Rattlesnakes, Scorpians, Critters of all kinds, my bedmates. Not! Not them Bears.......oh Darlin', please don't bite me like that!

Post Scriptum

my back is better but not top. My friend's isn't any better. He now lies in bed with a bad back, dreaming of how he'll be finding me in Oatman, Az. Well, I'll be in the Saloon! Where else?
Now if you were to get that book you could share it with your friend and save yourselves a lot of pain laughing at the helpful drawings, that can say so much more than words.

Will you be making sure that you stop quite frequently to get off the bike and move around, keeping supple and enjoying the space you are passing through just once, dancing... ?
A Latin beat is most conducive to a pleasantly flexible spine I find....

"It's now or never, leave that be, let's make a run for it!"

Craig reluctantly left his familiar compartment to join his brother. Jedd looked on in disbelief as Craig stumbled to tidy things up.

"How far do you think we'll get this time?"

Their last attempt at breaking out was short lived. Security had shortened their rations and seperated them from one another and from their friends as a result. Fifteen long years later, the two had managed to regroup and establish regular communications without, as they were given to believe....being monitored.

"Come on dammit! Grab your hat, let's get on with it!"

"But they'll see our every move. They have everything under control."

"Only for a short while. Once we reach the outer parameter, we'll be able to give them the slip. There's a new method. You'll see when we get there....if you'd just hurry the fuck up!"

The two brothers moved as quickly as possible without drawing attention. For the one, the feeling of leaving his familiar surroundings made him feel sick. He was certain they would be found out, and punished more severly than before.

The members of the SG closely followed each and every move and spoken word as they exchanged wagers. One jokingly added "let's give them a real chance this time. The fuckers are too stupid to see it when we leave the gate wide open."

"Level 3 for 200" said one. "Gotcha on that and raise to Level 4 for 1000" countered the other.

"They're getting close to the vaporizer, shut the damned thing off, quick!"

Laughter filled the room as the members of the SG watched the sweat build on the Craig's brow.

Images of their mother filled Craig's mind. Could she still be alive? On the outside ? Only one way to find out.
So.......do they give the man the slip or what? I mean it could happen.........maybe the monitors go dead and.......................
Jedd had been told about the vaporizers, so he knew where to expect them. The first one was just ahead, in a small green area...a most attractive place. Trees and plants and a fountain. Natural light was shininh through the bubble glass roof. Water, cool, clean water. Jedd was thirsty but if what he had been told was true, getting anywhere near the water would be the last of him. Strange, what a beautiful place. So serene...but no birds.

Birds, okay. No birds, death by vaporizer.

"Let's leep moving. This place is dangerous."

Craig knew to trust his brother with his life. After all, if not for Jedd, Craig wouldn't be alive in the first place. Created with Jedd's DNA, Craig was a perfect replica. A spare parts Clone. He had been created in one of the first Labs in the Eternity complex. Although the two appeared to be identical, there was a huge difference in their mannerisms. The two weren't meant to meet one another. It had happened by chance one day while Jedd was making one of his many attempts to break free and make for the outside world. A curtain was pulled back and as Jedd looked to see the figure behind the glass plane, he thought he was looking in a mirror. Craig had been having wild visions all that day. He saw himself preparing for a journey though he did not know why. He felt the excitement though he did not know why. The moment Jedd made his way through Area "C", Craig could feel him near. He knew when to pull the curtain back. He knew he would be staring his origin straight in the face. How or why, he did not know.

Fantastic dreams should be written down, immediately upon awakening. To recreate a dream based on memory, not your ordinary memory, is no easy task.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jedd had never been this far before. He had no idea how large the complex was. From his living quarters, one of hundreds, he had moved half a mile before reaching the "C" complex where Craig was kept. The two areas, too were identical. Beyond that, the green areas were all over the place like small green islands with birds and butterflys and water fountains and all. Strategically placed, the deadly green islands, once recognized, were a perfect indication of -the way out- ..........

"keep moving....no idea where Security is today but what the hell....."

"what does Mom look like? Is she still alive?"

"dunno. We'll see if and when we make it out of here alive." "Here, read my mind.........that's her, look............................"

"Wow! She's pretty! Thanks!" "How old is that memory?"
This is too easy, something is wrong. Why are they letting us get this far without a challange?

At that precise moment, two SGs came around the corner, spotted them and began firing. Jedd knew what it felt like to be hit. He hated Tasers. Fuckers!

"Run like hell!" "Over here, but watch out for the water....it's loaded." "Keep your head down"

"SG 2135 over. We have two 815's in the "Y" layer. Looks like they're trying to break out....over"

Laughter filled the room and then, silence as Ace raised a finger to his lips.

"tell them the two are on a mission and that we sent them"

The escape would be the easy part. Once on the outside, the real observation would kick in and the first phase of the experiment would begin. Ace had his orders. From whom, he had no idea. They came "from above", as usual.
And from above
Yesterday in Westminster an attempt to ban
"pure" hybrid embryos, that would mix a human egg with animal sperm
or vice versa, was defeated in the Commons by 286 votes to 223, a government majority of 63.
What horrid things are put in place.

I wish my dream were non-fictive in nature. Will try to add more later this week. All I can say at this point is that the two brothers, the real one and the clone, they make it. They make it outside the complex, they see and feel the green world, the real world, first hand. They come to realize how it is that each one of them can communicate with the other without speaking. They also learn the truth about the complex they a) were born in and b) were developed in. The green world is more of a homecoming for the two of them. They've never been there before, never ever, but they know it by heart. One goal drives them forward : find Mom. It's the same old story no matter where you go. People want to go home, crawl back up into that womb and be at peace with the world once again. That's the way I see this dream. Wish me luck in putting it down in words. I have no talent. Luck will have to suffice in providing the bridge between that which I dreamt and that which you percieve as a result of my reflections......as best as my fading memory serves me at age 48 and with my notorious past (not up for discussion!).
