You completely understood it because you clearly aren't dense.
Well I would hope not lol!

Brilliantissimo Waldissimo, well done.

Which reminds me of wandering between houses with my splendid 2 year old companion on her reins with a tendency to stop and stare and start talking.

Tough chaps in their twenties were unloading a fighting car from a truck, so we stepped aside and they did their thing, manfully, ahem.

Then she called to them, "Good girls!  Well done!"

They didn't know where to look.

Luckily I had my fixed grin on.

Good girls.  Well done.

“As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies. As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members. That our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors. That a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people, and the Earth, and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power.

We come to you at a time when corporations — which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality — run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here as is our right to let these facts be known.

They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.

They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give executives exorbitant bonuses.

They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in workplaces based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.

They have profited off the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless animals, and actively hide these practices.

They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.

They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is, itself, a human right.

They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut worker’s health care and pay.

They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people with none of the culpability or responsibility.

They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams, but look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.

They have sold our privacy as a commodity.

They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press.

They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products, endangering lives in pursuit of profit.

They determine economic policy despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.

They have donated large sums of money to politicians, who are responsible for regulating them.

They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.

They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives, or provide relief in order to protect investments that have

already turned a substantial profit.

They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit.

They purposefully kept people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.

They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners, even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt.

They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad.

They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.

They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government contracts.

To the people of the world,

We, the New York City general assembly occupying Wall Street in Liberty Square, urge you to assert your power.

Exercise your right to peaceably assemble, occupy public space, create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone.

To all communities that take action and form groups in the spirit of direct democracy, we offer support, documentation, and all of the resources at our disposal.

Join us and make your voices heard.”

The statement issued from Zuccotti Park
I don"t watch the boob tube news, so are any of the national outlets covering this, or is it being ignored? (other then to report on any arrests, which I'm sure will be mentioned)

I turn it on while fixing dinner - yes, there is some coverage now, in between the various puff pieces to promote products/celebrities that the parent company has stock in.

Meanwhile, from the U.K Mail

Thanks Pan. It's really spreading isn't it. It almost makes you hopeful for a minute, till you read the presidential hopefuls comments and remember they're the ones in charge and they're the same in both parties so.........

Here's a rather fine dog having his days of joy, everyone is playing with him at once.

That is indeed a rather fine dog.  I am feeling a little bereft at the moment.  My horse_dog Jules is in hospital having an enormous abscess on his bum fixed up.  The house just isn't the same without him around.  I hope the people there are being nice to him & he doesn't bite anyone.  I warned them about him but he was so good when I dropped him off in his cage I don't think anyone believed me.

I believe this is the end of the beginning...

Did it begin with the puppet-show staged 9-11 event... or did it begin 10 years earlier than that with the obviously-rigged "Financial Modernization Act?"  Whatever.  It certainly took a long fucking time.  Neo-feudalism is what the pigs had in mind, probably because they were fully aware of the impending die-off due to multiple cascading bad effects and (hey- remember- they're PIGS)- saw it (the die-off) as the most jolly opportunity ever to enrich themselves (again) No more- no less. It took the shriveling "job" market and "debt" serfdom to get people into the streets.

Some of our kids are "occupying" Indy right now.  The "99%" meme seems to be gaining some purchase.  The pigs know that Winter is coming, and are confident the cold will clear the obstruction.  Yep.  The Winter of our Discontent is a sign on the road to serfdom. Did it really take a whole life-time to get here?  Was there any one place when it could have been stopped?  Is this our "Deutschland erwache" moment, and must the long Night follow?  Dark Winter seems to be the Nature of Things in our normative world.  But maybe we aint in Kansas anymore-- not our telatubby paradigm.

Well then, ladies and gullibubbles, now it's time for something completely different.  What's that?  We don't know! It's completely different!  Close enough, anyway.  History was not that comprehensive because Coach was worried about the next big game.  Even History bugs who have seen this coming for a century or so are having a hard time with the next decade, and it does not have to be shitty.  Or it could all suck for centuries.  It could end anywhere along the line between miserable death and the Great Awakening, but evolution is rarely that lineal.

It's Fitz and Stars Time.

Massive Power Outages to Get Much Worse, More Frequent

ok ok... I wasted most of the day today catching up on Wonkette.  Sad to say, it's the only kinda humor I appreciate anymore... making fun of the stupid-heads... which is really counter-productive... and way too easy.  Takes the mind off of this shit... and isn't it batshit loony that an "overdrawn checking account" has to be an attempt to get most readers to understand Earth Overshoot and carrying capacity?  What has happened to us when we think "munny" is real and the Earth is some kind of abstraction?

I get so goddam mad at the Paulitos because they ALMOST get it... almost.  But "close," horse-shoes and hand grenades and all that.  The fucking ice caps are melting.  Global famine and war is right around the corner.  And they're all in a lather about the "collapse of the dollar?"  "Taxes?"  I got no problem with the closet Anarchist Paulies... it's the warmed-over Bushniks that make me wanna kick furniture.  Even worse... I have been avoiding the #camp out of frustration over all the stupid bickering about "policy and procedure" and who can/ not "represent" the "movement."

All the power gets pushed up the food chain... all the responsibility gets pushed down.  So "city council meetings," 10x dummer then the #bickering... so dum it approaches "faculty meetings," is about shit like funding "leaf pick-up," which the white folk consider important because they still have "lawns."  Our tomato yield was outstanding... Ms. Waldo (never ceases to amaze) canned a whole bunch... didn't know she knew how to do that.  Got a buncha big-ass turnips... some are still out there... the parsnips and carrots never came up... and the legumes did not do very well either.

We got a good wood supply (I haven't paid for yet)... but the fam is burnin it all up for "cozy fires" instead of savin it up for the "ohmigawd it's 10 below" fires that we will need about February.  shit.  just put on more clothes, i guess.  OK- gotta plow thru Kafka some more...

all this shit is truly Kafkaesque.

i have a bunch of stuff to catch up on i guess.  and i will tell y'all my new news, soon! this was in DC Oct. 8 or so.

this is thanksgiving in Moline, me and my grandson, edison!  we are in ontario, oregon on the way to portland, now.
